It's not too late for your question and even better, it's not too late for Cristina/Owen. As you may have seen, Kevin McKidd told us there will be lots and lots of trouble and a few surprises ahead for the duo, especially regarding her unplanned pregnancy.
But a source tells me "Long term, the writers are very much invested in Cristina and Owen and want them to work it out."
