A Roundtable Discussion With Sandra Oh - Videos

When Sandra Oh Met Oprah

This is an oldie, but we have never posted it before. In the December 2006 issue of O Magazine, Oprah paid a visit to the set of Grey's Anatomy where she interviewed the show's creator, Shonda Rhimes. Sandra Oh popped in for a few minutes during the interview and talked briefly with Oprah. Here is an excerpt from that interview:

"Oprah, Sandra. Sandra, Oprah."

Oprah: Where did you get the idea for Grey's Anatomy?

Shonda: I wrote it on a whim....

When Sandra Oh met actor Mark Pellegrino the following ensued:

Q: You’ve been on a lot of top-notch television shows, like Burn Notice, Dexter, Grey’s Anatomy. What have been some of your favorite experiences and why?

Mark Pellagrino: I was coming out of the make-up trailer of Grey’s Anatomy, and Sandra Oh was like, “Oh my God!” and grabs me by the face, kisses me on the face and hugs me. She’s apparently a big Dexter fan. It was a totally shocking experience to have that happen. So that was a really nice, enjoyable experience.
