15 Best Dresses at the Emmys: Sandra Oh
Bombshell alert! A gold sheath by Marchesa highlights the nominated actress's smokin' bod. It's kind of a shame we don't get to see this Grey’s Anatomy star in something other than scrubs more often.

RED-CARPET STYLE Oh was right on the ladylike trend in an all-lace Oscar de la Renta gown at last year's Emmy Awards.
OUR PICK This sexy, one-shoulder Armani Prive gown would amp up Oh's glam factor and its asymmetrical cut would keep her look totally on trend.
Supporting Actress:
I won’t be surprised if the award goes to one of the blue-chip In Treatment actresses (Dianne Weist, Hope Davis), but even in an off year for Grey’s Anatomy, my heart belongs to Chandra Wilson, with Sandra Oh a close second for her impassioned work alongside the should-have-been-nominated Kevin McKidd. Also loved multiple Tony-winner Cherry Jones as the embattled president on 24, but the nomination’s prize enough.
Sure, we all root for our favorite nominees come Emmy night. But let's be honest: The red carpet is, by far, the most entertaining portion of the festivities.
Besides the fact that it's devoid of any boring, lengthy, self-serving acceptance speeches, it's also our first glimpse at the fashion hits and misses that accompany each event. Of course, there are no safe bets. But we do have high fashion hopes for several of this year's Emmy nominees based on their past style performances.
Here are our predictions for the Emmys 2009 best-dressed list -- and hopefully, they'll all get to add gold statues as their final accessory:SANDRA OHYes, the black dress is always a classic. But it also has the tendency to blend into the crowd when it's among other dynamic dresses on the red carpet -- unless you're Oh. For the past couple of years, she chose black dresses with beautiful texture (2008) or subtle details (2007) that made her shine just as bright as actresses wearing show-stopping color or piles of diamonds. No matter what Oh wears, she always tops our best-dressed list.
Chandra Wilson has been nominated four consecutive years for her portrayal of Miranda Bailey, the no-nonsense chief resident on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” but is still looking for her first win. Conventional wisdom suggests that she splits the “Grey’s” vote with co-star Sandra Oh, another perennial nominee, but Ms. Wilson’s chances are doubled this year with a nod for “Accidental Friendship.”
Ms. Wilson was interviewed recently by phone from the “Grey’s” set, where the series is filming its sixth season.
Q: Are you afraid of splitting the vote with your “Grey’s” co-star Sandra Oh, who was also nominated again?
A:I’m a huge fan of Sandra’s work on this show. So the fact that we keep coming in together, I’m highly complimented by that. I also think it’s a big testament to the show remaining as current as it is, six years in.
