The nominations for the 2011 Film Independent Spirit Awards have been announced, and Rabbit Hole has been nominated in the following four categories:
Best Director: John Cameron Mitchell – Rabbit Hole
Best Actress: Nicole Kidman - Rabbit Hole
Best Actor: Aaron Eckhart - Rabbit Hole
Best Screenplay: David Lindsay-Abaire – Rabbit Hole

In short, it was fantastic.
The movie so fluently moved from humor to grief and back again. All while feeling so natural.
This goes without saying, but Nicole Kidman was outstanding. Sandra Oh, though in a small role, was also excellent. But Aaron Eckhart was the real surprise here, matching Kidman in each of their scenes together.
