Even More From Kevin McKidd

Kevin McKidd interview from the New York Post with a Sandra-mention:

When “Grey’s Anatomy” came onto the scene in 2005 we were introduced to Patrick Dempsey’s sultry scruff and wavy hair which formed the small screen perfection of Dr. Derek Shepherd, later referred to as McDreamy. A couple of years later we were given the tailored beard and shirtless sexiness of Dr. Mark Sloan, soon re-named McSteamy. And then last year “Grey’s” brought us the pinnacle of this buff-pyramid with Dr. Owen Hunt, who has yet to be labeled anything other than complicated. Until now.

Kevin McKidd, who plays Dr. Owen Hunt, the post-US Army trauma surgeon turned head of trauma at Seattle Grace, recently revealed to PopWrap a few little nuggets of hotness about this seasons “Grey’s Anatomy.” First off, when asked about his so far M.I.A. nickname, he told PopWrap, “Sandra Oh came to set the other day and said that she had friends who were calling me Dr. Delicious. So I guess that would be the name. Maybe it will stick on set, either way it’s nice to stray away from the ‘Mc’ names.”

Oh yes Kevin, we are on board with that.

Since Dr. Hunt is now the main single man at Seattle Grace, it looks like they will milk his sex appeal for all it’s worth. When asked about his new love-triangle, Kevin said, “When they came to us with the idea to add Dr. Teddy Altman’s character into the mix with Sandra and I, we weren't sure about it. Yet, after we saw how it would play out, and with the addition of Kim Raver as Teddy, it all fell together beautifully.”

And as for Owen’s post-traumatic past, well PopWrap wondered if he would have anther “episode” (i.e. strangling Sandra Oh’s neck). He told us that if it were to ever rear its ugly head again, "Teddy’s character very well could be the catalyst." Adding, "If it does, I have a feeling that Dr. Hunt will react very differently, be it good or bad. But I am not sure what could happen, he is very different now than he was during that first altercation.”
